I updated Kinoko's body design to be more snail-like, especially the "foot," which has an undulating edge.
His horns are continuous with his head, inspired by snails' eyes.

The rest of his head is, of course, decidedly un-snail-like. He has an unusually shaped skull (which may be seen from a different angle in photo #7), and a hooked beak reminiscent of a parrot's.

I love his unique coloring, even if I do say so myself. :-) Red-orange blends beautifully into dark teal and midnight blue, and the yellow spots on the (real) seashell continue seamlessly in a dorsal pattern (also seen in photo #4).
