This gorgeous tawny brown Autumn Wolf mask was handmade from a single piece of leather and is a stunning centerpiece for your canine costume. Suitable for men or women, this transformative mask is a unique and classy piece for a masquerade, larp (live action role play), or Halloween costume. It is also a beautiful work of art to display in your home when its not being worn.
Each mask is lovingly handmade with an eye for detail and quality. Fur details were carved into the leather, which was then dyed light brown and painted in natural warm tones from pale tan to orange-reddish brown to dark brown. The mask is sealed to protect it from moisture, and ties on with brown organdy ribbons. It is lightweight and designed to fit both men and women.
For role players, the Wolf mask endows the wearer with a bonus of +2 to all saving throws. (Your game master will use his or her own discretion, of course.) ;-)
I also make Wolf masks in other colors and styles. Custom colors may be commissioned.

The first time I wore my own wolf mask in front of my kitties, they both freaked out a little (until I talked to them to reassure them that I'm not, in fact, a wild canine) -- which is a testament to the transformative nature of these masks!
Wild ancestors of domestic dogs, gray wolves (Canis lupus) are apex predators (in the absence of humans). Despite the occasional "lone wolf," wolves are typically social creatures who live and hunt in packs. They tend to follow a structured hierarchy, from the Alpha pair (which are typically mated for life), down to the lowly Omega. The haunting howl of a wolf may be to communicate with its pack or to warn strangers away from its territory. They also interact with each other via whines, yips, growls and snarls, as well as body language such as posture and muzzle-licking. Too often unjustly maligned, wolves are fascinating creatures which deserve our respect and understanding.
